We do not need to worry about cybersecurity”? If that is the case, how does someone know if they are air-gapped if they do not assess or monitor their networks for new data coming in from removable media/transient devices or external network connections being set up with modems or VPN’s?Īt the end of the day, new data is coming into these so-called “air-gapped” environments. Do air-gaps give us a false sense of security? How many times do cybersecurity professionals hear, “Oh, we are air-gapped. Are these environments truly air-gapped?Īll of these examples prove that nothing is truly air-gapped or that it can’t stay 100% air-gapped over time. What about transient devices such as laptops, tablets and smart phones? Don’t forget about removable media (USB, CD-ROM, et al.), remote access and data coming via sneakernet (any means of transferring data without it traversing a network). There are many other non-threatening examples like modems and wireless networks being set up by contractors, maintenance, or control engineers to make their lives easier to transfer data in or out of the air-gapped networks. The most famous of these examples is Stuxnet, the worm that was able to target and disrupt the process of enriching uranium that could be used to manufacture nuclear warheads in Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility. It has been proven in a number of different scenarios that air-gapped networks can be infiltrated. Do they really guarantee isolation from the internet or from the corporate business network? In theory, air-gapped networks seem like a good idea. Are Air-Gapped Systems Really Secure and Effective? With more and more “smart” field devices (connected and managed through the network), the notion of whether air-gapped industrial networks are practical for the future, or if there is really an air-gapped network today, is worth considering. In today’s Industry 4.0 revolution-where the network is the control system-analyzing data from the industrial process is key to driving optimization and efficiency. In the industrial vertical, these air-gapped networks were the networks that supported the industrial control systems within the plant or factory where communication was physically or logically isolated between the plant and the enterprise networks. This can be a good thing or bad thing depending on your network needs. Many networks across a variety of verticals including government, military, financial services, power plants, and industrial manufacturing have been so-called “air-gapped.” This means they are physically and logically isolated from other networks where communication between these networks is not physically or logically possible.

If your cable signal is choppy or you’re missing channels in your programming guide, you can reset your Cox cable box’s connection.Cox’s fiber internet network is currently a work in progress. Cox’s home internet packages offer download speeds between 25 Mbps to 1,000 Mbps, and they come with access to Cox’s network of Wi-Fi hotspots. The latest reports from users having issues in Surprise come from postal codes 8539. So, in all fairness, Cox strongly supports the restoration of syndicated. Shutting down these programs (or turning off file-sharing on them) will boost speeds. Cox offers cable internet service in 18 states across the US including California, Ohio, and Massachusetts. This will give you a baseline for understanding what’s going on with your internet. If you’re experiencing excruciatingly slow internet, there are a few tricks you can try to boost your speeds.įirst of all, take an internet speed test. Cox doesn’t have an outage map or a way to report internet outages. Sometimes the problem with your internet isn’t the connection, but the speed of the connection. They only manage to escape because it has heart troubles and asthma, so sleeps with its mouth open. Instead of being swallowed by a whale, Geppetto and Pinocchio end up in the stomach of shark – after all, sharks are scarier. Pinocchio later encounters a dying Candlewick, who is still a donkey and expires from exhaustion before he can be saved. Pinocchio and his pal Candlewick are both turned into donkeys, and although Pinocchio changes back, it's only after a fisherman tries to drown him and fish eat the skin off his donkey carcass to reveal his puppet form. Pinocchio meets a snake that dies from a burst artery for mocking his misfortune, while he's also haunted by the ghost of the Talking Cricket. Making Bambi look like Winnie the Pooh, death is pretty much everywhere. This was where Collodi wanted the story to end – as a message to naughty children – but his publishers demanded it to continue. The Fairy arrives after the Fox and Cat have hung Pinocchio from a tree and he's declared "dead". Originally called the Talking Cricket, OG Jiminy has a minor role in The Adventures of Pinocchio and is killed when he's mushed against the wall with a hammer while trying to give Pinocchio advice. The Cat gets its comeuppance and has its paw bitten off by the vengeful Pinocchio.īut it's favourites like Jiminy Cricket and the Blue Fairy that really get the short end of the stick in The Adventures of Pinocchio. There's still the cunning Fox and Cat, but here the latter eats a blackbird who is trying to warn Pinocchio they are bandits. While there, an evil puppet master wants to use Pinocchio as firewood to cook his lamb supper. Pinocchio repays this favour by selling the book to visit a marionette show. When Geppetto is released from prison and builds Pinocchio a new pair of feet, he sells his only coat so his ungrateful 'son' can have a book to go to school with. He wakes up to find his feet have been burned off like some sort of A Nightmare on Elm Street horror. Pinocchio takes up residence in Geppetto's empty home and dries his feet by the fire after a neighbour dumps a bucket of water on him. When the police catch up with Pinocchio, Geppetto is accused of assaulting him and the hapless puppet maker is carted off to prison in front of the villagers. The music by Alexandre Desplat is amazing, giving the film a perfect sense of whimsy for a fairytale. As soon as the log takes on his Pinocchio persona, he kicks Geppetto in the face and runs off. Guillermo Del Toro's and Mark Gustafson's direction is absolutely phenomenal, everything from the movement of the characters, to their designs and the vibrant colour palette is gorgeous and endlessly watchable. Rounding out the cast is Christoph Waltz, on point as usual with another truly evil character. David Bradley is so good as Geppetto, subtly bringing so much pain to his character that breaks your heart and makes his moments of happiness all the better to experience. Ewan McGregor makes for a terrific comic relief and is an absolute joy to hear whenever he's on screen. Gregory Mann gives an incredible lead performance, imbuing Pinocchio with a boundless warmth and naivety that thankfully never becomes annoying. Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio is exactly that, a beautiful and unique interpretation of a classic that explores death and grief in ways that are often emotional and heartbreaking whilst still delivering a fun adventure with gorgeous animation against a classically disturbing Del Toro backdrop. This is mostly due to the string of timed exclusives that were pulled from other digital storefronts for one year after each game's release. Since Chapter 3: Season 3, over half of Cosmetic Items are collaborations.Epic Games have definitely picked up some bad attention with their aggressive approach to entering the digital distribution market for video games. Bill Skarsgård's laughs for Pennywise, which were used once a balloon was popped, were ripped directly from the first film without permission.Furthermore, information as to whether there was an extra amount of content scheduled for release is scarce, and cannot be verified either. As such, it is not verifiable as a collaboration, as every other has had extended content present. The It: Chapter Two easter egg was never officially confirmed as a collaboration, as is possibly not one due to its lack of any Cosmetic Items, Limited Time Modes, Weaponry or other content beyond the easter egg itself. Some collaborations may take longer, though, such as the PAC-MAN Set and the GALAXIAN Emote, which had their IDs reserved as early as August 2021, but would only have been released on June of the following year 10 months later.Brandon Sanderson (author of the Mistborn series) commented on the Mistborn subreddit that it takes from 5 to 6 months for a collaboration to be made noting that it took 5 for the Cosmere Castaway Set to be released. The two are the second set of outfits from the Resident Evil series to be added to Fortnite, and the fifth collaboration with Capcom overall. Kennedy and Claire Redfield were added to the Item Shop on March 17th, 2023, as the first Gaming Legends Series outfits to be released in Chapter 4: Season 2. Locker Bundles curated by Fortnite creators and professional players (such as Maufin's Locker Bundle) are considered collaborations, but are not listed here as the bundles consist of non-collaboration cosmetics.
